Randall S. Levine
Randall S. Levine began his legal career as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Western Michigan in 1980. During his tenure as an assistant prosecuting attorney, he gained extensive trial experience prosecuting murder, criminal sexual conduct, drug and other serious felony cases.
After leaving the prosecutor’s office, he joined a criminal defense firm in Kalamazoo where he focused his practice on the defense of persons charged with white collar offenses, embezzlement, fraud, controlled substance violations, arson, conspiracy, money laundering and other offenses prosecuted in the Federal District Court for the Western District of Michigan. He also continued defending State offenses in all State Courts in Western Michigan.
In 1987, Mr. Levine began the practice which is now Levine & Levine. Mr. Levine represents clients in a broad spectrum of criminal defense matters, including federal and state jury trials and federal grand jury investigations for white collar crimes including mail and wire fraud, bankruptcy fraud, bank fraud, tax evasion, health care fraud, money laundering, transportation and computer crimes.
Mr. Levine has also appeared on behalf of clients in administrative proceedings in Washington, DC, the Sixth Circuit and across the country. He travels interstate to represent clients in Federal and State matters, Pro Hac Vice. Mr. Levine represents clients in defense of State of Michigan Attorney General matters, including continuing criminal enterprise.
Mr. Levine has obtained large jury verdicts in cases involving violations of civil rights of incarcerated persons under 42 United States Code Section 1983.
Mr. Levine is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Federal Bar Association, and is a life member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a member of the Criminal Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Levine serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Character and Fitness for the State Bar of Michigan. He is a member of the Kalamazoo County Trial Lawyers Association. Over the years he has served as an instructor of Crime and The Law at Kalamazoo College.
He is a 1976 graduate of Michigan State University with honors and a 1979 graduate Cum Laude at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He was elected by his peers as a member of Best
Lawyers in America and is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell.
